This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you contact us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to follow Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What Information We Collect

When you ask for a tow or a quote, we collect only what we need to help you:

• Your name and phone number
• Your pickup location and, if you give it, where the vehicle needs to go
• Your vehicle details and the kind of help you need
• Anything else you choose to write in your request

If you ask for direct insurance billing, we also ask for your insurer’s name, your claim number and your adjuster’s contact details, so that we can confirm the tow and send the invoice to your insurer.

When you call, text or email us, we keep a record of that contact and of the details you share.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the date and time. Our hosting provider keeps this in server logs for security and troubleshooting.

We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how people use the site, for example how many visitors call us or send a request. These tools use cookies or similar technology and send usage information to Google. They do not receive the contents of your quote request. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Answer your request, confirm pricing and availability, and send a truck
• Bill your insurer when you ask us to and your policy allows it
• Follow up about a job we have done for you
• Keep our records, meet legal and accounting requirements, and protect our business from fraud and abuse
• Measure and improve how this website works

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.

Spam Protection (reCAPTCHA)

Our quote form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA to stop automated spam. reCAPTCHA checks how you interact with the page and sends information such as your IP address and browser details to Google. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA, and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Who We Share It With

We share personal information only when it is needed to do the job or when the law requires it:

• Your insurance company or adjuster, when you ask us to bill them
• The drop-off location you choose, such as a body shop, dealership or storage yard
• Service providers that help us run this website and our business, such as hosting, email, and Google (analytics and reCAPTCHA)
• Police, courts or other authorities when we are legally required to

Some of these providers store information outside Alberta or outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held in another country can be accessed by that country’s authorities under its own laws.

How Long We Keep It

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reasons above, including to meet tax, accounting and insurance record requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How We Protect It

This website uses HTTPS, our content system is limited to authorized staff, and the forms are protected against abuse. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send anything sensitive, such as payment card numbers, in a quote request.

Your Choices and Rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it. You can also ask us to delete it, as far as the law allows. To do any of these, call 825-888-5533 or email hello@mavericktowingrecovery.com. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we will respond within the time the law requires.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
